A dominare le nomination è Il Trono di Spade con 23 candidature seguito da American Crime Story: The People Vs O.J. Simpson con 22 e da Fargo, la miniserie firmata dai fratelli Coen con 18. Ad annunciare l’elenco completo sono stati Anthony Anderson e Lauren Graham al Wolf Theatre del Saban Media Center a North Hollywood. Le premiazioni della 68esimaa edizione degli Emmy Awards si terranno il 18 settembre a Los Angeles.
