Mancano poche ore alla Notte degli Oscar ma come da consuetudine si sono svolti ieri notte in America gli Independent Spirit Awards, la kermesse che celebra i film e gli interpreti del cinema indipendente USA.
Il caso Spotlight, film con Mark Ruffalo e Michael Keaton che trionfa in 5 categorie, ovvero Miglior Film, Miglior Regista per Tom McCarthy, Miglior sceneggiatura per McCarthy e il co-sceneggiatore Josh Singer e Miglior Montaggio per Tom McArdle, premiato anche il cast che si vede assegnato l’autorevole Premio Robert Altman lo speciale Premio Robert Altman assegnato a regista, direttore del casting e attori.
Brie Larson, l’attrice protagonista di Room, ha vinto come Migliore Attrice, mentre Idris Elba si è portato a casa il premio come Miglior attore non protagonista per Beasts of No Nation, così come il giovane protagonista Abraham Attah. Il figlio di Saul vince nella categoria Miglior Film straniero.
Il premio alla migliore opera prima è stato assegnato alla regista Marielle Heller per The Diary of a Teenage Girl mentre all’esordiente Emma Donoghue il premio per la Miglior sceneggiatura d’esordio.
Visto i premi ricevuti Il caso Spotlight ed anche lo stesso Room potrebbero regalare molte sorprese durante l’attesissima Notte degli Oscar.
